The core of a man…
Can be likened to a column of wax:
It is only as strong as it is unflexible,
Thump it with your finger and it feels so solid and heavy,
It is cool to the touch and readily absorbs heat,
If you try to move the column it sticks to the floor and won’t easily budge,
Never transparent, somtimes murky and translucent,
You can easily scratch its surface, but digging deeper takes great effort.
It’s energy is trapped and useless without a wick.
And as Shakti dances around the fire,
she draws her Beloved ever closer to her light and play,
and then it happens,
The column melts, and collapses.

Hi Chad,
I really like this word image. I am definitely a Shakti. Check out my blog which I just started last week. Here’s something a wrote several years ago it seems to mirror your just a bit.
Consciousness
Source
no separation
Universal breath
inhaling exhaling
duality born
Two flames burning
seeking oneness
in the heart of desire
Eyes meet
breath quickens pulse rises
moment of recognition
Two bodies one breath
two flames one fire
Yin and Yang
The wheel of life turning
always turning
and returning to the One

If you will forgive my zany sense of humor:
I wonder what Shakti and Shiva will do after they’ve screwed each other silly? I can picture them sharing a hot-dog and Coke at a ball game!
I wonder if I should write this, as it sounds disrespectful… spank me if so. I’m sure I deserve it. 🙂

Also, I really, really liked your explanation of Tantra on your website… the best I’ve ever read, and I think it is an explanation that I can actually remember well enough to repeat. I won’t post the link here without your permission, of course.
